Right then.

Today I have been mostly riding my bike. 820km from Nordkapp the most northern point in mainland Europe to Jokkmokk in Sweden.

After leaving Helsinki I travelled to Kalajoki on the west coast of FInland, camped on the beach. the sun didn't really set. The following day I travlled to lake Inari in Northern Finland and again no darkenss, bloody clod mind 2C. Last night was spent in Kirkporten, the northern most campsite in the world, I walked (90mins) to the end of Europe to watch the midnight sun not even dip below the horizon and walked back at 2am this morning still broad daylight. Nearly hit a heard of reindeer today, I think I would have come of worse as they are pretty big and just plod across the road.

Going to cook up some pasta surprise...... again! no darkness again tonight, it is messing my sleeping up a little.

Can't upload pictures at the moment but should be able to in Germany, where I need to get new tires and a service.

So far over 85 hours of riding and and nearly 5,500 miles, only another 12,000 to go!

That is Polish for hello.

I am now in Helsinki, after traveling through Poland, Lithuania. Latvia and Estonia.
In Lithuania I meet some fellow bikers, 2 Polish and 4 French who were travelling in my direction so we made a bit of a convoy and spent 4 days travelling together. I now have somewhere to stay in Warsaw and 2 more places in France.

The Baltic countries were very, very different and the people friendly enough, but the language barrier doesn't help.

The weather is still very warm, but the evening are getting cooler. however the sun is not setting untill 11ish, but is rising at 4.30 so i am getting only a few hours sleep!!

All is going well, I will try to get some more photos up soon.

Just ouyside Prague. Boiling hot 35c in the shade! Boiled alive in the tent by about 5am. Off to Krakow, Poland tomorrow. 1300 miles so far and over 24hours in the sadle, my arse aches!!

Here we go then!

Left Long Sutton 10:30 on Wednesday to catch the Euro tunnel at 14:30. It is such an easy way to get to France! arrived in Calais and then headed straight for Brugge, where I spent 1 night. total of 290 miles on the bike.

From Brugge I headed towards the Nurburring where the plan was to camp and then the next day go and do some laps, however there was some event on and my German is rubbish so i couldn´t even understand the signs. Any how i went for a burn about on the lovely twisty quite roands and the campsite was right near the Freilingen See so I made the most and stayed another night. I went swimming in the Freiligen See a sort of massive man made lake which took 20 mins to swim 1/2 way across.

After 2 days I decided to head towards Berlin, 380 miles 6 hours later and a very sore arse I fould a campsite which had nature in the title. Expecting to find a load of naked Germans I was cautious, but thankfully none! slept really well woke up early and decided to get the train into Berlin. Train to Postdam then S7 into the centre on Berlin. I would love to go back to Berlin as there is so much to do.

Tomorrow I am heading towards the Czech Republic where the trip will become a bit more exotic!! Can´t up load photo´s but as soon as possible I will.
